Christian Smith joins CAS as a postdoc
Published May 02, 2011
Since getting my PhD here at CAS in 2009, I have been a post-doc with the Intelligent Robotics and Communication Laboratory at ATR in Japan, working with humanoid robots. Since May 2nd, I am back at CAS, and will initially be working on Dual Arm Manipulation (DAM). My work so far has covered robot design, teleoperation, human tracking and motion modelling, reinforcement learning, and social aspects of HRI. I tend to be a bit of an experimentalist, and do a lot of hands-on real-world implementations. See
for details.
